       A Happy Day in Chrysalis Yellow at Do Quang

            I don’t know whose day was happier, the children in Chrysalis Yellow or mine? How I enjoyed watching the children have a fun morning! Today, two of their activities included cooking and a “Music and Poetry Reading Concert.”

           Banh Gois were on the menu for today. After demonstrating for the children how to make a banh goi, the children enjoyed making their own. When finished, Ms. Nga gathered the children for an in-class performance of Tet songs and poems. Ms. Nga was the MC and the children were the performers. During the performance there was plenty of enthusiasm to have a chance to stand before the class to sing, dance and recite poetry.

           Later, the children invited me back to try their banh goi. They were perfect. I only wish I could have had more than one!
