2018 Art Exhibition and Charity Fund Raiser
Are you ready for this year’s Art Exhibition and Charity Fund Raiser? I am.
It’s been five years since I attended one. During my time as Educational Director, I remember the hard work that both teachers and children put into making this annual tradition a success. I also remember how much parents and children enjoyed coming to see the children’s art and to particiapate in all the fun activities this special day offers. Since I left Koala House in 2013, I have heard that the Art Exhibition has only gotten better. Even though I am not able to spend the whole morning there this time, I still look forward to the amount of time I can come to enjoy the festivities.
Of course, without your children’s art work there would be no Art Exhibition. In thinking about this I remembered an article I had written for the website back in 2013. With a little effort I was able to pull it up on my computer. In it I mentioned some tips for when talking to children about their artwork. I feel it would be good to repost it at this time for those of you who might be interested in talking to your children or grandchildren about their artwork this weekend. The name of the article is: Art Around the Classroom/Nghệ thuật từ lớp học
I am aware there will be some of you who are new to the Koala House family and are unfamiliar with the Art Exhibiition and Charity Fund Raiser. For more than 10 years Koala House has been working to serve the rural Vietnamese community through it’s annual Art Exhibition and Charity Fund Raiser. For the past serveral years Koala House through its parents and friends has built a total of 10 kindergartens to date. This year is no different. With this years’ funds we hope to build kindergartens in two locations in Dien Bien.
