In the case of a child taking leave for two weeks or more during the normal term, prior written notice must be received and leave approved by the Koala House Business Office at least seven days prior to the leave being taken.   If written notice is received and leave approved, a reduced fee equivalent to 75% of the normal term’s tuition fee will be charged for the period of absence, as the child’s position in the school remains reserved.  If written notice is not received and approved by the Business Office, no refund or reduction in term’s fees will apply. In the case where leave is taken at the commencement of a term and invoiced charges are outstanding, if and when the child returns to Koala House, it will be considered a new enrolment, and the standard 5.000.000VND enrolment fee will apply.  Please note that Koala House will only accept written notice that is addressed directly to the Koala House Business Office.  Communicating with a child’s teacher is not considered sufficient.  It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that such notice has been received by the Business Office and that approval has been provided prior to the commencement of any leave.

If the school has to close temporarily for more than two weeks as a result of natural disasters, epidemics, or similar occurrences, 25% of tuition fees will be refunded for the duration of the closure period.
